Frank Warren is holding March 26th for a Tyson Fury fight

British promoter Frank Warren (pictured) is planning four shows for March. Warren says he is looking at staging a huge event in association with Top Rank on Saturday March 26th featuring WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. The other shows will likely feature heavyweight Daniel Dubois and light heavyweight Anthony Yarde. In April, WBO #1 super middleweight Zach Parker will return. Warren said: “It is looking very healthy in the camp for March and April, providing everyone stays healthy. We don’t want more COVID.” Warren's company, Queensberry, planned to kick off 2022 next month, but the British Boxing Board of Control’s decision to shelve boxing in January forced changes.

Warren says Saturday March 19th is reserved for Dubois, hopefully [but unlikely] against WBA regular champion Trevor Bryan. “I have not heard anything official, but I have seen the ratings and Daniel is the official challenger at number one with the WBA,” Warren said. “He will fight on March 19th in London. We would like Daniel to fight Bryan but if not hopefully we can get it to purse bids. Whatever happens he fights that day. Hamzah Sheeraz will probably be on that bill and hopefully Dennis McCann recovers from his hand injury. Anthony Yarde is mandatory challenger for the WBO light heavyweight title and will definitely fight in March. He won’t sit around waiting. He could be on the same show as Daniel. Once we know where we are with Daniel’s fight we will get it announced and tickets on sale, but all our young guys will be busy in March when we stage four shows.”

April is also in Warren's plans, with fights for future Parker, a world title hopeful. Warren said, “Zach is number one contender [in the WBO] and we’re waiting to see if [WBO middleweight chapion] Demetrius Andrade is interested in fighting him for the WBO [super middleweight] interim title. That is something we’re really interested in doing. Zach is in a good position and I will speak with him and his manager Neil Marsh. He is due to fight on April 23rf at a new stadium in Derby. He is in good fights and does good TV viewing figures, but we want to start building an audience in Derby.
