David Papot of France retained his unbeaten record with a hard-fought twelve-round unanimous decision over Harlem Eubank in a welterweight bout at London's Copper Box Arena. In one of the year's best fights, Papot scored an early knockdown before Eubank responded later in the contest with a heavy shot that sent the Frenchman to the canvas. With the outcome still in the balance entering the closing rounds, the 35 year-old Papot finished strongly, dropping Eubank twice more to secure the victory on the scorecards. Papot is now 32-1-1. He was coming off his lone loss, to current IBF champion Liam Paro. Eubank is 22-2, with the other loss handed to him by Jack Caterall, current holder of the WBA regular welterweight title.
