Contender Seseaon 3: The Heavyweights?

Moments ago Contender Executive Producer Jeff Wald informed Boxingtalk that Steve Forbes will likely be facing Demetrius Hopkins on the televised undercard of the March 17 WBC junior lightweight championship fight between Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera and WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez. According to Wald, Forbes will first fight a tune-up on the non-televised undercard of Mosley-Collazo on February 10 and return to the ring five weeks later to face D-Hop on HBO PPV. In other news Boxingtalk has been hearing serious rumblings that the Cotender's third season will feature heavyweight boxers. When asked, Wald had "no comment." Full interview to follow Monday.
