Filipino and Mongolian Warriors Clash Tonight

The free-admission “Let’s get it on in Mandaluyong” card takes center stage tonight in Mandaluyong Gym featuring nine bouts with main event clashes between knockout artists Filipino and Mongolian warriors.

World Boxing Foundation (WBF) International welterweight champion Rey Pelonia eyes a knockout win against ex-Mongolian national champ and reigning South Korean welterweight boss Baira Kim in the feature bout of the night.

While WBF International flyweight champ Sukarno “Master Showman” Banjao also refused to give an exact round where in expect to score another demolition.

The two matches are both set in 10-round non-title bouts. Supporting main event is a 10-round meeting between Baby Lorona Jr. and Joebar Damosmog for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) junior lightweight title.

While WBC light-flyweight No. 3 contender Juanito Rubillar risks his right for the mandatory fight for WBC world title againt Flash Simbajon in 8-round bout.

Former-South Korean flyweight contender Kye-Chun Choi, who will work in Kim’s corner, claimed his hard-hitting Mongolian has 60 chances of winning either by knockout or decision, while he predicts a 50-50 chance of Dima against Banjao.

More than 6,000 fans, including 300 supporters of the Kim and Dima, will pack the venue within the City Hall.

First bell rings around 6 p.m after the one-hour prayer rally of All Nations Mission Corporation that is headed by Yongki Choi, who is instrumental for Kim and Dima to become the first Mongolians to see action in the ring in the country.

Mark Roces’ Jemah Television tapes the entire card, promoted by Bebot Elorde and Mandaluyong City mayor Neptali “Boyet” Gonzales, for the scheduled national telecast.
