Press Release: Rita Figueroa, 8-0, will appear in a six-round lightweight bout against Leora Jackson, 2-8, on Friday night, August 25, 2006 at the air conditioned Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Said Figueroa, “I have trained hard for Friday.  Sam had great sparring for me, and made sure I did all the work needed to be successful Friday night. We really don't know much about her, but will be ready for whatever she brings.” Promoter Dominic Pesoli added, “Rita’s built a huge following and she truly exemplifies the warrior spirit that our fans have come to expect with boxers at our events.” Jose Hernandez faces Lenny Devictoria in the main event. Also, David Diaz will be honored during the evening.  The Aragon Ballroom is located at 1106 W. Lawrence Avenue on the north side of Chicago.
