Fights at the Fitz returns July 14

TUNICA, MS – Prize Fight Promotions makes a spectacular return to the Fitz Casino in Tunica, MS as it presents “Fights At The Fitz” live from the Grand Ballroom on Saturday, July 14th. Prize Fight is well on it’s way to selling out it’s 61st straight casino boxing show as tickets are already moving fast. “Fights At The Fitz” will be broadcast on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and will feature the hottest new signing in the Prize Fight stable, Rafael Valenzuela in a six round featherweight battle with Adauto Gonzalez. In the main event, Valenzuela, 8-1 (4 KO’s), will showcase his exciting skills in his first appearance at the Fitz as he meets the battle tested veteran, Gonzalez 7-2 (3 KO’s), hailing from San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

The five bout card will also feature many other competitive fights between rising prospects and local fan favorites. In the co-feature, Southaven, MS’s own Jason Ross will stand toe to toe with Jackson, TN’s Charlie Ward in a four round light heavyweight battle that is sure to have the crowd on the their feet from the beginning to the end. This co-feature bout most likely will end in fireworks. Also, rising light heavyweight prospect DeAndrey Abron, who is now living and fighting out of Southaven, MS will square off with Marvin Hunt in a six round light heavyweight match. Abron, who recently separated from the United States Army to pursue boxing full time, will attempt to get past Hunt and line himself up for regional title opportunities later in 2007. Further, welterweight Ramon Arrellano Jr., 27-1 (22 KO’s), will make his long awaited return to the ring following a three-year lay off against Anthony Bowman in a six round duel. Arrellano Jr. hails from Nashville, TN and is eager to get back into the mix in the welterweight division.

Rounding out the exciting five bout card is super middleweight prospect Josiah “The Gorilla” Judah 7-0-1 (1 KO) from Brooklyn, NY against Chicago, IL’s Michael Rush. Judah, the younger brother of former 3-Time World Champion Zab Judah, will make his third appearance a The Fitz and has become a fan favorite. Zab Judah will be appearing at The Fitz as he is eager to meet and greet his Mid-South fans following his epic battle with Miguel Cotto for the Welterweight World Title a few weeks ago at the famed Madison Square Garden.
