Diana “Bonita” Fernández will face France’s Clothilde Del Ben for the WBC interim super flyweight title this Saturday, September 19th in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. (Adelaida Ruiz is the current WBC champion in the 115-pound category). The Mexican Fernandez will have the opportunity to capture the title in front of her hometown supporters. She enters the bout with a record of 37-4-1, with three of those losses coming in failed world title bids. Standing across the ring will be Del Ben, a former French champion who has compiled a professional record of 11-4.
