Is it "Checkmate" for Cindy Serrano?
The New York City police department has shutttered two Queens gyms and arrested female boxer Cindy Serrano in culmination of an 18-month steroid investgation. Arrested along with Serrano was her husband Jordan Maldonado and sister Amanda Serrano, who were all charged with selling performance-enhancing sterids. A steroid manufacturing lab was raided and gallons of liquid steroids seized by police. Serrano is 15-1-1 as a pro, with the only loss coming against Missy Fiorentino in her last bout. She is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, and if convicted, she faces up to nine years in prison. source: north country gazette
