Lightweight sensation Diego Corrales is in for one of the toughest fights of his career come August 7th when he takes on undefeated Acelino Freitas for the WBO lightweight championship. Having trained harder for Freitas then he has for any other fighter, Corrales has left no stone unturned, and come hell or high water, is confident he will be returning home with a new belt around his waist. BoxingTalk was on hand while Corrales was working hard in the gym to ask him about his upcoming fight with Freitas and why he will not be denied on August 7th. Even with five months left in 2004, Joe Goosen is an easy candidate for the Trainer-of-the Year Award. He works just as hard in the gym getting his fighters ready for their big night, as they do over a twelve-round battle. The results are championship fighters in highly publicized title bouts. Diego Corrales in just one of the many very skilled fighters Goosen has been working with recently, and BoxingTalk spoke with him to get his thoughts on how Corrales is looking for his fight against Freitas, and how he sees August 7th going for his fighter. Also see what Acelino Freitas had to say as Boxingtalk was on hand to greet him and to get an exclusive interview from this explosive fighter.
