In the first annual F.I.S.T. Fights For New York held at the New York Hilton, Chris "The Mechanic" Smith continually worked the head and body of Dillon Carew prompting trainer Lewis Blackmore to throw in the towel at 2:15 of round ten. In what was a one-sided fight Smith showed his rugged toughness as he threw left hooks to the body of Carew. At times Carew opted to stand and trade with Smith but to no avail as The Mechanic outworked and outhustled his opponent on the inside. Carew did not appear to be hurt at any time during the fight including the time of the stoppage.
