Boxingtalk.com caught up with Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista (19-0-14KO). This guy has hands of stone, and has compiled 19 wins and 14 of them are knockouts. Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista looks at Manny Pacquiao as his idol, and wishes to be the next Manny Pacquiao in the near future. In this interview Rey talks about his upcoming fight against Roberto Bonilla (23-7-0),  (which is slated as one of the undercard fights on the Barrera vs Juarez fight) ,and updates us on what's in line for him in the near future.

BT - Rey, you have compiled 19 wins in a row, and you have knocked out 14 of them. Talk about your power, and do you consider yourself a knockout artist?

RB - I consider myself a fighter, I have power but it's more about timing. I can hit with both hands, but it really depends on timing.

BT - So it's a done deal that you will be fighting Roberto Bonilla ?

RB - Yes, Roberto Bonilla from Nicaragua.

BT - Does this guy bring anything into the ring that you are concerned about?

RB - I can fight him with his experience, I am training to deal with his tactics everyday here at The Wild Card Gym, no problem.

BT - Manny Pacquiao has set a very high standard, do you want to be the next Manny Pacquiao for The Philippines?

RB - Yes, I want to be the next Manny Pacquiao for The Philippines, I hope so, I will try my best!

BT - Rey there is a big Pacquiao website called Pacland, it features Manny, and all of the fighters from The Phillipines, is there anything you want to say to The Paclanders who worship Manny, and all Filipino fighters?

RB - I have heard of Pacland, yes! I would like to tell all of my fans in Pacland HELLO, and I am here in California training hard, I hope you will pray for me for my next fight, at the Staples Center. I want tell my momma, and poppa, and relatives in Philippines, pray for me for my next fight!

BT - Rey when do you see yourself fighting for a world title?

RB - Maybe in one year I will fight for a world title.

BT - Rey, who's this guy Abner Mares? He calls you BUM BUM? what's up with that? (laughs).

RB - (LAUGHS) It's ok, I seen him fight before, I will fight him IF he can come to 118lb , I will fight him, and he won't call me BUM BUM no more (laughs)

BT - Where would you like to see your career one year from now Rey?

RB - I would like to be a World Champion!

BT - Talk to your fans Rey.
