Boxingtalk was ringside at Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel in Memphis, TN for The Fights at The Fitz in Tunica Mississippi. Prizefight Promotions Rayonta Whitfield (15-0-8KO) notched another W into his record by easily defeating Roberto Gomez (14-16-3), extending his undefeated record to 15. Rayonta Whitfield is a rising prospect, and looks to become a recognized name on a national level in the very near future. 


BT - Rayonta you remain undefeated with a strong performance, talk about your peformance tonight.

RW - Well I went in there knowing he was a tough guy, and I just did what I know what to do. I took what he gave me, and went on and got the win.

BT - What's next for you Rayonta ?

RW - My people are telling me that I will be on an ESPN date for August 4th, so I am looking forward to that, and getting back into the gym to get ready for that fight.

BT - Rayonta you are 15 and 0, you're getting closer and closer. Where do you want to be say 6 months to a year from now ?

RW -  6 months from now I want to be knocking on the door for a title shot. I just want to keep the faith, and do my very best.

BT - Is there anything else you would like to say in closing ?

RW - Just look out for The Stingray, I will be our here for years to come!
