JA: How is everything Ossie? " Everything is going really good. I am coming off a nice victory over Marcos Primera. I looked and felt great in the fight and I am looking to fight on the 7th of July."
JA: What have you been working on specifically in the gym since your last fight?
OD: I have been working on a lot of foot work, my balance and sharpening up my punches. Working with Peter Manfredo Sr. I can already see the difference in my punches. I am taking one fight at a time and hopefully by the end of the year I will be fighting a lot of the guys in the top 15-20 in the rankings.
JA: I know that you trained in Ghana before coming over to the United States, tell us what the difference is?
OD: The difference is the equipment and the resources that are offered over here in the States. I use a lot of different tools to help me harness my skills. I am in great shape already and my last fight, you only saw a glimpse of what Ossie Duran can really do.
JA: Do you know who you will be fighting on July 7th?
OD: No not yet. They are working on a couple of guys for me right now. It doesn’t matter who I fight, I am going to give it 100%.
JA: You have five losses on your record, do you feel that is due to not having the proper management backing that you needed to protect you?
OD: Yeah that had a lot to do with it. Now that I guys who are looking out for my interest like Jimmy Burchfield and Peter Manfredo Sr, I feel comfortable in the ring now that I have that protection.
JA: Is their anything that you would like to say in closing?
OD: Yeah I just want to thank everyone for supporting me, I love Providence and make sure you get to the fights on July 7th, they are going to be one to remember.
