GL: What can you tell us about your victory over Daniel Judah? "It was a good fight for me I guess. I didn't win the world title or nothing, it was a good win and I beat a guy I was supposed to beat. The fight people want to see is me and Antonio Tarver. We've fought two times already and we're 1-1 so the third fight only makes sense to me."
GL: Although you and Tarver have fought twice before, he's on top of the division right now and he's talking heavyweight. Do you think there's any realistic chance of the fight happening?Eric Harding: "I'm always looking to fight the best and right now I'm hoping he wants to do it again, but if he doesn't I'm not going to let that hold me back I'm just going to keep on winning my fights. But if Tarver's l"
GL: After you lost to Tarver, you dropped a close decision to Glen Johnson to in the Bronx. Is that a rematch that interests you?Eric Harding: "I'm trying to fight Tarver first because I'm looking to reverse my losses in the order I received them."
GL: If that's the case shouldn't you be looking for Roy Jones Jr first?Eric Harding: "Naw. I don't want to fight Roy because he's not really taking the game seriously. He should go play with his chickens or something. He's done, nobody wants to see Roy fight anymore. Beating him doesn't even prove nothing anymore."
GL: Was there anything about Daniel Judah that surprised you?
Eric Harding: "I was surprised that he didn't go down. That was the only thing that surprised me. I saw some junk he was talking that I was a dead man walking and he was going to rule the division, I got to tell you, this dude can't break an egg. He can't punch worth shit, pardon my language. I just laughed this guy off, he's got some issues going on with him, but I'm beyond that now." Now I'm looking to see if Antonio Tarver wants to step up to the plate."
GL: What would you look to do differntly against Tarver?Eric Harding: "I would train. And after I beat this boy the other night the people began chanting, 'we want Tarver, we want Tarver! I was shocked, but you know I'm ready to do it. I really want to fight him but if he says no, he'll just have to say it once. If he don't want to fight me, fuck it I'll go beat on someone else and win those titles. If Tarver doesn't want to fight me, fuck him. My life don't depend on Tarver."
GL: So if not Tarver, Glen Johnson?Eric Harding: "I'm not so sure about that. What would I want to fight him for? Does he the belt or something? I didn't fight Judah for the #2 spot in the WBC for nothing, I want to become champion and if it's not Tarver I'd rather fight someone else with a belt."
GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?Eric Harding: "I'm looking to get in the ring as soon as possible and I'm looking to become champion. I want to thank everyone for coming out to support me the other night and hopefully Tarver or these other champions step up to fight me. One way or the other, I will be champion."
