European title bouts pushed back to April 23rd

A European title double-header has been postponed. Andoni Gago's featherweight defense against Gavin McDonnell will now take place on April 23rd, as will Sandor Martin's (36-2, 13 KOs ) junior welterweight defense against Kay Prosper (14-1-1, 7 KOs). McDonnell (22-2-2, 6 KOs) is bidding to become a two-weight European champion ahainst Spain's Andoni Gago (24-3-3, 7 KOs). The bouts will take place on a Matchroom Boxing event at the Pabellón de la Vall d`Hebron in Barcelona, Spain, live on DAZN. Thes how was initially scheduled to take place on March 26th, but due to extended travel restrictions in the country, owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the fight has been pushed back.
 
Bilbao’s Gago won the belt in his home city back in June 2019, and will face a tough test against the Doncastrian McDonnell when they meet next month.
 
Also on the card, Torrelavega’s European junior middleweight champion Sergio ‘El Nino’ Garcia (33-0, 14 KOs) will be scheduled for a non-title fight and Bilbao’s former European welterweight ruler Kerman ‘Revolver’ Lejarraga (31-2, 24 KOs) aims to make it four wins in a row since losing his belt to David Avanesyan.
