New York, May 23—K2 Promotions announced today that it has won the purse bid for the European Championship between undefeated Russian star  Zauerbek Baysangurov (15-0, 12 KO’s) and French standout Hussein Bayram (24-2, 13 KO’s) for the vacant European Super Welterweight title.

 

The Baysangurov/Bayram fight will be the co-feature for the IBF/IBO Heavyweight Championship of the world between Wladimir Klitschko and Lamon Brewster held July 7th in Cologne , Germany . Both fights will be seen internationally in over 100 countries.

 

The purse bid was held yesterday (Tuesday) at the EBU offices in Rome , Italy .  K2 Promotions won the rights to promote the fight with a bid of 55,172 Euro, Sauerland Event bid 52,137, and Acaries bid 33,000 Euro.

 

Former world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko of K2 Promotions said: "We are happy to have won this bid and believe that this will be a great opportunity for these fighters to be showcased to the international media on our July 7th promotion.
