German promoter Sauerland Event is poised to sign middleweght contender Chris Eubank, Jr. to a promotional contract. Eubank, from England, is 29-2 and holds the WBA interim title. Although he did not fight at all in 2020, Eubank is no stranger to German boxing fans, having easily beaten German legend Arthur Abraham in 2017. In his last fight, he defeated Russia's Matvey Koborov in December 2019, under the tutelage of the great Roy Jones Jr. Eubank's father Chris Sr. had a long championship reign in the early 1990s with WBO titles at both middleweight and super middle.
