Etienne sentenced to 150 years in jail!

Former heavyweight contender Clifford Etienne will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars. Etienne, who learned to fight while doing time for armed robbery, was sentenced to 150 years in a Louisiana prison for an attempted robbery gone shockingly wrong. Just months after a nice payday against Nicolay Valuev, the Associated Press reports that Etienne tried to rob a local check cashing store in his own neighborhood (where he is well-known), then stole a car with two children inside and pointed a loaded gun at two cops and pulled the trigger, only to have the gun jam. Etienne was best known for getting demolished in less than a round by Mike Tyson, but he had some good fights in his career, including a win over Lawrence Clay-Bey and a draw to then-repsected Francois Botha. --Scott Shaffer
