Is a fight with Berto in his future plans?

GL: Tell us about your April 13 bout. "I'm just getting ready for the fight. It's going to be the kind of fight for me to stay busy. I've been waiting to get back in the ring for a long time and I'm ready to go."

GL: Can you tell us what you know about your opponent?

David Estrada: "I really don't know much about him. His name is David Toribio and he's 5'11 so that means he has the height and reach on me. I heard that he's a pretty good boxer, but I'm going to take my time and work my jabe the first couple of rounds and then when I get close to him it's over."

GL: What are you hoping to accomplish before the end of the year?

DE: "After this I'm going to be fighting in June. I don't know what kind of fight it's going to be. I don't know if they're going to want me to take another fight like this one, but to be real with you it would be nice to get a couple of fights in before onto something big."

GL: Would you fight Andre Berto?

DE: "He's a prospect and I've been there and done that, I'm trying to fight the legends of the sport or the champs. If Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti or anyone of the champs want to fight we can do it. I want to fight people that are known, are champs or have been champs."

GL: I feel you but at the same time if the only way for you to get back on HBO is to fight someone like Berto who HBO can't get enough of, wouldn't you take the fight?

DE: "Then it is what it is and I'm going to have to do that. If that's the scenario I'm going to do whatever it takes to become champ. If it's the way I want to do it or not the way I want to do it, it's going to get done one way or the other."

GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

DE: "Just tell all of my fans that I'm going to do something big this year. Before the end of the year or early next year I'm going to be champ."
