Remillard to face Hernandez in battle of unbeatens

Press Release:  Matt “Sharp Shooter” Remillard will move up to the 130-pound division to fight Jose Hernandez in the co-feature bout on September 23, 2006 “Night of the Rising Stars show at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.  The bout will be a ten-rounder for a minor title. Twenty-year-old Remillard (10-0, 7 KOs faces 19-year-old Hernandez (6-0, 2 KOs). In another newly announced match, 2004 U.S. Olympian Jason “Big Six” Estrada (6-0, 1 KO), takes on Cliff “Tyson Twin” Couser (26-10-2, 14 KOs) in an eight-round heavyweight contest. In the 12-round main event, Matt “Too Smooth” Godfrey (12-0, 7 KOs), is matched against Danny “Boy” Batchelder (24-2-1, 11 KOs). Also, Israel “Pito” Cardona (35-6, 27 KOs), will fight in his hometown against intra-state rival Shaka Moore (9-10-3, 1 KO). Cardona was a lightweight contender but is now fighting at welterweight.
