Eric Gomez gets some help as Golden Boy adds matchmaker, talent scout Diaz to Team

PRESS RELEASE: Golden Boy Promotions, one of the world’s premier boxing promotional companies, today announced the addition of former boxing manager and advisor, Robert Diaz as a full time matchmaker.

Diaz, a San Francisco native of Mexican decent and the former advisor to three-time World Champion Marco Antonio Barrera and former manager to fighters such as the undefeated Dominic Salcido and five-time World Champion Manuel Medina, will, in addition to his matchmaking duties, also spearhead Golden Boy’s recruiting of the best young boxing talent worldwide.

Diaz, who currently lives in Sacramento, officially assumed his duties on October 12th, and will relocate in January 2008 in order to work at Golden Boy’s Los Angeles office.
