Southpaw Odero gave the local favorite plenty to think about, but Tissen was the main aggressor and landed the cleaner shots. According to the WBF, the ten rounder was scored a landslide but the fight was actually close. Tissen got the official verdict by 100-90 (twice) and 99-91. The WBF reports that Tissen was a deserved winner, but the fight was much more evenly contested than the scores indicate.
