Joel "El Cepillo" Casamayor would gladly accept any challenge presented to him by unified Super Featherweight Champion Erik Morales. Top Rank, Morales' promotional firm, floated out their interest in making a bout between Morales and Casamayor earlier this week. Akbar Muhammad, Publicist for Santa Barbara Management, the managing firm which represents Casamayor, says Joel is more than willing to face Morales, yet is skeptical of Top Rank's true interest in the fight.

While Acelino Freitas and Diego Corrales engage in one of the years most anticipated fights Saturday night at the Foxwood Resort and Casino, Casamayor will be in the crowd scoping both men, with the hopes of a rematch with the winner. According to Muhammad, Casamayor might have the opportunity to face the winner later this year. Casamayor has been waiting for a rematch with Freitas since his close and controversial loss to the Brazilian bomber. A rubber match with Corrales, after winning one and losing one to Diego, would also be welcomed by the Cuban veteran.
