Duva offended by Toney's comments, dares James to fight Sam Peter!

Edited Press Release: James Toney called John Ruiz "stupid" after Toney defeated Ruiz on Saturday because Toney feels Ruiz was unable to adjust his boxing style. That remark didn't sit too well with promoter Dino Duva. “Although he beat John Ruiz fair and square, James Toney is a classless punk for the way he disrespected my friend and class act Johnny Ruiz after the fight,” said Duva. Of course, Duva's "outrage" may be nothing more than a ploy to gain press for his best heavyweight, Samuel Peter. Duva has joined the long and already tiresome list of people who have already called out Toney, the new WBA heavyweight titlist. That list even includes Iran Barkley, who got Toney's attention for half a second at the post-fight press conference on Saturday. "Come on, Iran," smiled Toney, who defeated Barkley as a super middleweight. "We already had ours."   Although Peter is very unlikely to be Toney's first challenger, Duva is making an effort to get Peter's name in the mix. "It would give me great pleasure to watch Sam beat the hell out of him,” said Duva in a press release." On Friday, Peter stayed busy with an early knockout of former junior middleweight Gilbert Martinez.
