In response to a Boxingtalk posting concerning heavyweight Brian Minto, promoter Dino Duva contacted Boxingtalk and provided the following statement: "I read yesterday that Brian stated he is a free agent in October. That is unequovically untrue. I hope he was either misquoted or had one too mnay beers when he said that. I think Brian has the potential to become world champion and it would be unecessary to put his career on hold and bring all of this progress to a halt. I'm waiting for Brian to call me to clear things up realizing this was a mistake and I hope he comes to the senses to clear things up. I want Brian and any other shark promoters trying to talk with him that I will defend my rights vigorously to protect my contract with Brian Minto."
