According to 8 Count Productions,  on Saturday June 10, 2006, Chicago-based junior middleweight Freddie Cuevas will venture into hostile territory, namely New York City's Madison Square Garden to face one of the Big Apple's most popular fighters, John Duddy.  The bout will be scheduled for ten rounds and will air as part of Bob Arum's pay-per-view show to be headlined by Miguel Cotto vs. Paulie Malignaggi. Duddy is 16-0 and annihilated a pathetic Shelby Pudwill in one round on March 16, also at Madison Square Garden. At 25-8 Cuevas will be more of a test for Duddy than Pudwill was (although so would a stiff breeze). Cuevas went twelve rounds with world middleweight champion Jermain Taylor in 2003.
