Duddy plans on Shining at MSG on March 16!

The John Duddy vs. Shelby Pudwill pre-St. Patricks Day fight card extravaganza at the Theater at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night, March 16, will now be billed as "Irish Express" instead of the original billing of Shamrock Express, with respect to Chris Reid, the late, super middleweight standout who fought under the nickname of "Shamrock Express" from 1984-88.

Along with the John Duddy (15-0, 13 KO's) vs. Pudwill (21-2-1, 9 KO's, Mandan, ND) title bout for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Middleweight Championship in the featured attraction presented by Irish Ropes, the undercard will include: The co-feature bout highlighted by Irish Middleweight Champion Matthew Macklin (16-1, 12 KO's), fighting out of Birmingham, England, defending his title and making only his third American appearance and his New York debut. The highly competitive undercard will also feature another Irish-born standout and Duddy stablemate light middleweight James Moore (3-0, 2 KO's), who will tackle Jose Felix (9-2-2, 3 KO's, Savannah, GA) in a highly-competitive contest. Lady boxing sensation, unbeaten Maureen Shea (4-0, 3 KO's) of the Bronx, is right back in the ring off her impressive performance last week to square off against undefeated Ebony Clement Bey (2-0).  Manhattan's Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin (2-0, 2 KO's), the popular super middleweight, will put his unscathed record on the line, while former Golden Gloves champ Jorge Teron (10-0, 8 KO's) of the Bronx will also try to extend his unbeaten streak in a lightweight contest. Brooklyn's Martin Wright will make his pro on the card.
