Duddy-Campas lands at MSG!

Press Release: Ireland’s John Duddy (17-0, 15 KO's) will be back in the Big Apple spotlight when he faces former world champion, Mexico’s Yory Boy Campas (88-8, 72 KO’s), on Friday night, September 29,  2006 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Duddy has fought at MSG in his last two ring appearances, downing the veteran Alfredo Cuevas in the seventh round in the arena on the Cotto-Malignaggi undercard on June 10, while scoring an opening round KO over Shelby Pudwill in a pre-St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Campas, the ageless wonder from Navajoa, Mexico, has recorded a total of 88 triumphs with 72 coming by way of knockout during a career which began in 1987 at age 16. The former world champion defeated Raul Marquez on December 6, 1997 to be crowned IBF light middleweight champion. Yory Boy has faced such world titlists as Oscar De La Hoya, Fernando Vargas and Felix Trinidad during a storied career.
