The big names from sports, television and entertainment will join boxing trainer and ESPN/2 Friday Night Fights television analyst Teddy Atlas to help the needy in New York at the eighth annual Dr. Theodore Atlas Dinner on Thursday night, November 18, at the Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island.
The impressive list of luminaries who will be in attendance at the annual "Teddy Dinner" gala includes: Spider Man star Willem Defoe, Chris Noth from HBO's Sex and the City, award winning actor Danny Aiello, and Chuck Zito of HBO's Oz. Giants play-by-play voice Bob Papa, WNBC's Otis Livingston, and ESPN's Brian Kenny will be representing the broadcast industry.The boxing community will be well represented by former heavyweight champions Michael Moorer and Larry Holmes, as well as Gerry Cooney, Micky Ward, Chuck Wepner, Junior Jones and historian/author Bert Sugar. Longtime Mets ace reliever Johnny Franco, wrestling champion Kurt Angle, legendary football Giant Harry Carson, and jockeys Aaron Gryder, Mike Luzzi and Chris DeCarlo will be among the sports heroes on hand.
