Earlier today Judd Burstein, on behalf of Don King Productions, filed a lawsuit against IBF heavyweight champion Chrs Byrd. King is suing Byrd for breach of contract and tortious interference for preventing DKP's heavyweight unification tournament to take place. Boxingtalk asked Burstein how he could sue Byrd on King's behalf when just last year he sued King on Byrd's behalf. Burstein stated that he doesn't believe there is any conflict of interest, but understands that Byrd and his people do. Burstein told Boxingtalk.com he has informed the judge in the southern district of New York, where the suit was filed, of this potential conflict of interest and he is currently waiting for the judge to decided whether or not it would be appropriate for him to move forward as King's counsel.
