Dirrell puts a world of hurt on Oganov

Andre Dirrell TKO6 Viktor Oganov... Andre Dirrell was determined to atone for his boring showing on HBO against Curtis Stevens, and the undefeated super middleweight wiped out memories of that lackluster win by launching an all-out assault on Viktor Oganov in the first few seconds of the opening round.  Oganov didn't go down but absorbed dozens of punches. Dirrell (now 17-0) let up only slightly in the next two rounds, but in the third he cut Oganov over the right eye, and Oganov's corner was completely unprepared to stop the blood (one of the cornerman could be heard on camera yelling repeatedly for someone to get him his equipment bag). With the blood flowing, Oganov (28-2) tried to get back in the fight by coming forward aggressively, but that played into Dirrell's hands. Dirrell picked Oganov off as he tried to come inside, and when Dirrell's blows caused Oganov to stumble in the sixth round, the referee quickly stopped the bout, saying Oganov had been punished enough. Oganov, who was not close to going down, complained to the referee, but overall it was a one-sided fight. source: showtime championship boxing
