Diaz added to Holyfield-Oquendo

PRESS RELEASE: On Friday, November 10, 2006, welterweight Oscar Diaz returns to San Antonio  after almost four years "on the road".  Diaz turned pro in a March of 2001 under the auspices of legendary manager, Lou Duva, and almost half of his bouts have been before local fans in San Antonio while compiling an impressive 25-1 record.  In June of this year, the San Antonio boxer took on Chris Smith of New York and in non-stop action,  Diaz managed to throw almost 1300 punches en route to capturing regional welterweight titles.   "We were lucky enough to bring Oscar  back to his hometown fans to show his talent throughout the world as part of the Evander Holyfield pay-per-view show at the Alamodome", said manager Lou Duva.  "Oscar can't wait to defend his title against another Texan, Golden Johnson on this show, and I think this fight will 'steal' the show  [which will be headlined by Evander Holyfield and Fres Oquendo."
