DiBella To Take Legal Action Against Sycuan & The IBF?

Boxing promoter Lou DiBella explained to Boxingtalk.com, that he has a signed contract for his charge Leavander Johnson to challenge for Julio Diaz's IBF lightweight title on Febraury 11. "The IBF ordered the fight to a purse bid that was called off after Sycuan Ringside Promotions and I informed the IBF that we had come to terms," said DiBella, who later explained that since the Jose Luis Castillo-Julio Diaz speculation began, he hasn't received any calls from Diaz's handlers. "I would hope Top Rank and Showtime do what they're supposed to do here and not disregard other people's contractual rights. But the people accountable here are Sycuan. The fact that they're trying to do this without picking up their phones to call me,  while my kid is in training and the fight is two weeks away is disgraceful."  Does the DiBella think the IBF will strip Diaz if he faces Castillo instead of Johnson? "I don't see what choice they have. They ordered the fight, they knew we made a deal, so the IBF better be stripping in this case. I hope they follow their own rules or I'll have to get a lawyer on them too, barked DiBella. More to follow, until then, Remember Where You Heard It First! 5:25 PM ET
