Press Release: On August 24, 2007, Jackson, Michigan will host "The Battle to be King," a show featuring a "much better than his record" heavyweight returning from the biggest victory of his career. Jackson's own hard-punching Demetrice "The Next Big Thing" King (12-15, 10 KOs) is coming off an upset victory over formerly undefeated and highly touted prospect Bermane Stiverne on July 7. Going up against a fighter who had 12 victories, all by knockout, King nevertheless lowered the boom and stopped Stiverne in four rounds. On August 24th, King will be paired against Florida's Ed Slater, scheduled for eight rounds.
