Delvin Rodriguez signs with DeGuardia

Press Release: Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing has signed Dominican welterweight boxer/puncher Delvin Rodriguez (20-1-1, 12 KOs). The 26-year-old native of Santiago de los Caballeros is a prospect on the verge of becoming a legitimate contender. He now lives in Danbury, Connecticut and is riding a ten-fight winning streak. “Delvin is the near future of the welterweight division and we’re happy he’s made the right decision for his career,” said Star Boxing CEO Joe DeGuardia. “He has all the tools to become world champion and the punching power to create the highlight-reel knockouts the fans love. We’ll make the moves to quickly put him in line for his first title shot.” Rodriguez himself said, “This is an exciting move in my career and to have a promoter like Joe DeGuardia gives me even more confidence to be the future of the Welterweight division.” Managed by Stan Hoffman, Rodriguez first came to prominence with a nationally televised classic knockdown of then undefeated Allen Conyers. On his way to scoring a dominating victory, Rodriguez used a perfect left hook to send Conyers out of the ring, face first onto the concrete floor.
