Press Release: It's Showtime for the two rising young stars in the welterweight division when an undefeated duo collides tonight (Friday, October 3rd) on national television. Duva Boxing's undefeated James "King" DeLaRosa (17-0, 12 KOs) steps into the middle of the ring against unbeaten welterweight Tim Coleman (14-0, 3 KOs) at Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland. ShoBox: The New Generation will broadcast the ten-round affair beginning LIVE at 11:00 PM/ET.Â
Â
"King James" is a native of Harlingen, Texas, and faces his sternest test in Coleman, a world class amateur, and like De La Rosa a welterweight on the rise.
Â
"I am looking forward to shining on Showtime," says DeLaRosa. "I am ready for this big opportunity."
Â
"This is James' biggest step up, and great television exposure for a young fighter," says promoter Dino Duva. "If he performs the way we know he can, it will begin his path to superstardom."
Â
The winner of seventeen in a row, DeLaRosa scored a unanimous decision victory over the game Troy Wilson in his last bout on June 13 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Coleman comes into the bout riding a streak of fourteen wins in a row. In his most recent outing, Coleman won a 10 round decision over Martinus Clay on December 7, 2007.
Â
Duva Boxing in association with Cavazos Boxing, Prizefight, and Baltimore Boxing Club presents a unique doubleheader of undefeated boxers. Salisbury middleweight Fernando Guerrero (9-0, 9 KOs), and Pittsburgh middleweight Tyron "TT" Watson (7-0, 3 KOs) square off in the first televised bout.
