"Awesome" Dawson already on weight!

Both WBC light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson and challenger Glen Johnson have passed the WBC's 30-day pre-fight weigh-in requirements. Dawson and Johnson will face each other on April 12, 2008 at Tampa, Florida in a fight to be broadcast by Showtime. According to the WBC, Dawson weighed in at the Nevada Athletic Commission and he is already right at the light heavyweight limit of 175.  Meanwhile, Johnson tipped the beams at 186 in a weigh-in conducted in Florida under the auspices of WBC executive Bismark Morales. Under WBC rules, the boxers had to be 193 or less (roughly 10% over the weight or less) thirty days before the fight.
