Press Release: An excellent undercard match between former IBF cruiserweight champion Kelvin Davis and a former heavyweight title challenger has been added to the July 7, 2006 “Let Freedom Ring” boxing show at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Davis (21-4-1, 16 KOs) has been matched in a six-round heavyweight bout Charles Shufford (20-6, 9 KOs). Davis won the IBF cruiserweight title with an eighth-round TKO of Ezra Sellers in 2004. He will be fighting as a heavyweight for the first time. The main event finds Joey “KO Kid” Spina (18-0-1, 13 KOs) defending a regional super middleweight against local favorite Jay Pina (16-1, 12 KOs).  Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports, Inc. (CES) in association with Lincoln Park and Four Points Sheraton Hyannis Resort, is promoting the event.
