Vic Darchinyan will make the second defense of his IBF flyweight title on July 27, 2005 in Sydney, Australia. The Armenian-born Darchinyan will be challenged bu Luis "Titi" Maldonado of Mexico, according to Notimex, a Mexican news agency and boxlatino.com. Both men are undefeated: Darchinyan, a former Olympian is 23-0, while Maldonado is 31-0. Darchinyan, however, has defeated much tougher opposition, including Irene Pacheco, whose title he took, and Mzukisi Sikali, his first defense.
