Vic Darchinyan D12 Z Gorres... Former flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan was held to a draw by Z Gorres in an IBF 115-pound elimination bout in Cebu City in The Philippines. The bout was marred by bottles flying into the ring. Each fighter was officially down once, but ringside reports indicate there were some slips that were not scored a knockdown. The judging did not stick to national allegiances: Thai Montol Suiryachi saw it 113-112 for Gorres; Filippino Jonathan Davis had it 114-112 for Darchinyan; while Australian Cec Perkins had it 113-113. Darchinyan, 29-1-1, held the IBF 112-pound crown from 2004 through 2007, when he was knocked out by Nonito Donaire. Gorres is now 27-2-2. He previously lost a WBO 115-pound title crack to Fernando Montiel by split decision. source: cebu sun-star
