Don King Productions has quietly locked up the junior middleweight division. King currently promotes undefeated WBA junior middleweight champ Travis Simms, WBO junior middleweight champ Daniel Santos (a recent DKP signee) and Boxingtalk has been informed that DKP has inked WBC junior middleweight champ Javier Castillejo to a promotional deal.King also promotes junior middleweight contenders Ricardo Mayorga, Rhoshi Wells, Alejandro Garcia, Roman Karmazin, and Bronco McKart. It should be interesting to see how comebacking marquee fighters such as Fernando Vargas, Vernon Forrest, and Ike Quartey are able to fight for junior middleweight championships without dealing with DKP. Who knows? Maybe fighting the punching machine known as Kassim Ouma tickles their fancies. (11:47 AM ET)
