DELVIN RODRIGUEZ DEPARTS FOR SOUTH AFRICA

IBF #1 SPOT AT STAKE vs. ISAAC HLATSHWAYO

Press Release: On Monday November 17th, Star Boxing's Delvin Rodriguez (23-2-1, 14 KOs) of Danbury, CT, looks to take one step closer to achieving his goal of becoming a world champion. Rodriguez will be in a tough battle against Isaac "Angel" Hlatshwayo (28-1, 10 KOs) of Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa, at the Emperors Palace in South Africa in a twelve-round welterweight eliminator for the IBF #1 ranking. The card will be promoted by Rodney Berman's Golden Gloves in association with Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing. It will be Rodriguez' first fight since defeating Oscar Diaz on ESPN2's "Wednesday Night Fights" back on July 16th in San Antonio, TX.
With the fight exactly two weeks away, Rodriguez and his camp left for South Africa on Monday November 3rd, making sure to give Rodriguez ample time to adjust to the high altitude in Johannesburg.
