Trainer Kevin Cunningham (pictured) had this to say regarding his young gun, junior middleweight contender Erickson "The Hammer" Lubin's big win over Zakaria Attou last weekend. "I thought Lubin stole the show Saturday night. My focus has been working with him on being more poised,balance,range,distance and set up his opponent for certain shots. I saw a lot of what we worked on in camp Saturday night. He’s developing really well and I can assure the next time he gets a world title opportunity he’s going to be ready. We would love to get a shot at [WBC champion] Tony Harrison or [WBA/IBF champion] Julian Williams but they are both tied up with rematches. I would also like a match up with Erislandy Lara but he’s got fights scheduled. This is why we have our sights set on Austin Trout or Terrell Gausha. Either one of them makes sense to me."
