Cruiserweight unification coming to Saudi Arabia in November

Mexico's Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (pictured) and Great Britain's Chris Billam-Smith will face each other on November 16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in a cruiserweight unification bout. Ramirez (46-1) holds the WBA championship abd Billam-Smith (20-1) the WBO. The fight was announced by Turki Alalshikh, President of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, and the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya. The fight will headline a card called “Latino Night” as part of Riyadh Season and will feature other attractive fights that will be announced in the coming days. “We are looking forward to organizing our first event as part of our partnership with Golden Boy Promotions with ‘Latino Night’. “This card will feature some of the best Latin fighters and continues our effort to offer top-level boxing events by giving fans around the world the fights they want to see,” Alalshikh said on social media.
