Terence Crawford TKO 10 Shawn Porter... WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford strenghtened his claim as the dominant welterweight of this era by stopping two-time former champion Shawn Porter in the tenth round in Las Vegas. It was a competitive fight with Porter doing better early, but Crawford turning up the heat as the fight wore on. Crawford knocked Porter down twice in round ten. Here is the first knockdown. After the second knockdown, Porter was up, clear eyed and ready to continue, but his father/trainer Kenny Porter stepped up on the ring apron and stopped the fight. Kenny Porter implied afterwards that Shawn Porter's poor training camp was a factor in his decision to cut his son's title opportunity short. Crawford was ahead on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage by one point on two cards and three points on another. Afterwards, Porter reportedly announced his retirement.
