HBO Sports is presenting a thirty- minute special analyzing the upcoming HBO pay-per-view fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Ricardo Mayorga.  The highly anticipated bout is set for Saturday, May 6 in Las Vegas.  The fight is an intriguing matchup in the 154-pound super welterweight division between the accomplished De La Hoya and the slugging Mayorga. The special "COUNTDOWN TO DE LA HOYA-MAYORGA, " which will feature fighter profiles, expert analysis and forecasts for the showdown in Las Vegas, will premiere Saturday, Apr. 22 immediately after the World Championship Boxing telecast (Chris Byrd vs. Wladimir Klitschko) that airs  live at  5:00 p.m. ET/ 2:00 p.m. PT and again at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT later that night. De La Hoya brings a record of 37-4, 29 KOs into the showdown, while the free-wheeling Mayorga sports a mark of 27-5-1, 22 KOs. The main HBO service will also air the special on Monday, May 1 at 10:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 4 at 11:50 p.m. Both times are ET/PT. The countdown special will also be available to HBO ON DEMAND subscribers 24 hours a day from Monday, April 24 thru Monday, May 8.
