Undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion Miguel Cotto is set to take on challenger Gianluca Branco, 36-1-1, in a world title defense in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, on Saturday, March 4.Cotto has been working hard while training in Florida."It's always difficult to be away from the family, but I see the benefit of training away from home," Cotto said. "The important thing is I am fighting in Puerto Rico. This is a promise Top Rank has kept, having big fights in Puerto Rico, and I am grateful for it. I cannot wait to fight Branco. I expect a very tough fight from him." Cotto, 25-0, is the World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight champion. He won the vacant title, stopping Kelson Pinto in six rounds in September, 2004. Since, Cotto has had four sucessful defenses.
