Jose Miguel Cotto, coming off a grueling world title fight, returns to the ring Friday night to take on lightweight Ivan Hernandez in the main event of "Solo Boxeo de Miller" in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Cotto (27-1, 19 KO's) of Caguas, Puerto Rico, lost an all-action fight against Juan Diaz of Houston last April in Las Vegas.

"It was a great learning experience for me. I went 12 hard rounds with an excellent champion and that fight will surely make me a better fighter when I get another opportunity to fight for a world title," said Cotto, older brother of WBO Junior Welterweight champion Miguel Cotto.
Ivan Hernandez (23-2, 18 KO's) of Colombia will be fighting in Puerto Rico for the second time. Last year he lost a majority decision to contender Ubaldo Hernandez.
"I know I'm a better fighter then what I showed against Hernandez. This is a tougher fight against Cotto, but I'm ready to show my talent and to win," said Hernandez when he arrived into Puerto Rico earlier this week.
The co-main event should be another great fight as Jose Miguel Torres of Colombia, the younger brother of hard-hitting Ricardo Torres takes on local favorite Edwin Vazquez.

Expected at ringside for this exciting Telefutura show are Miguel Cotto, WBO minimum weight champion Ivan Calderon and rising star Juan Manuel Lopez.
