World champion Miguel Cotto is off to Deerfield, Fla. this weekend to train and get wired in for his upcoming battle vs. Paulie Malignaggi. Cotto, 26-0, will leave San Juan on Sunday. The next day chief trainer Evangelista Cotto will set up camp at the Punch Fitness Gym in Florida and blueprint strategy for Cotto, a powerful force, to take on the speedy, tricky, undefeated Malignaggi on June 10 at Madison Square Garden. Cotto will train four weeks in Florida, then head for New York City for the final week of preparation. Cotto vs. Malignaggi is promoted by Top Rank and DiBella Entertainment and will be broadcast on Pay Per View. Six fights will be on the PPV including the professional debut of heavyweight Tommy Zbikowski, captain of the Notre Dame football team.
