Cotto gives Bailey a beatdown

Miguel Cotto looked absolutely dominant defending his WBO junior welterweight belt in Las Vegas Saturday.  Randall Bailey has been recycled a number of times now, and quite frankly, its getting boring.  Little more than a crude puncher at this stage of his career, Bailey was no match for Puerto Rico's second best boxer.  Cotto (rated #5 by Boxingtalk at 140) knocked Bailey down in the second and third, bloodied him, and finally stopped him on cuts in the sixth. Bailey (rated #23 by Boxingtalk at 147) suffered more than enough and barely did anything positive. The undefeated Cotto's got the goods, but Boxingtalk would like to see him against someone like Vivian Harris before his inevitable move up to welterweight. --Scott Shaffer
